In 1995 Guild was purchased by the Fender Musical Instruments Corporation and in 2001 it was decided to move all Guild Guitar production to its factory in Corona, California, however this was only temporary as in 2004 all production was moved to Tacoma, Washington, however only in the form of acoustic as the production of Guild electric guitars was completely discontinued. Finally Guild was once again moved when Fender acquired Kaman Music Corporation and its small production facility in New Hartford, CT in 2008 and hand-production of all USA-made Guilds resumed in a manner that is consistent with other boutique guitar manufacturers. New Hartford Guild began production in early 2009 with the D-55 and F-50 models being produced first.
At the Guitar Lounge we stock a variety of Guild Guitars including the GAD, D20/D40/D50, F30/F40 and Guild Jumbos.
